Guest guest
I had nerve damage to foot and the pain was burning and it is slow to heal. If your hand is swollen, get a gel pack to ice it. It should stay soft even when frozen in freezer, to get the swelling down. It's important to get the swelling down because swelling can compress the nerves in your hands and feet and cause nerve damage. That's what happened to me. I ignored the swelling..don't. The hospital I went to did, because xrays showed no break, so I ignored the swelling also. I didn't get good advice. Someone else went to hospital with sprain and swelling and no break and they told her to stay off her feet for a week and ice it until swelling down and then on to crutches. I guess now I have to get second opinion on hospital advice! It was minor injury that turned into big problems because of poor advice/no advice from doctor at hospital. Never trust anybody's advice apparently. Double and triple check everything. Medical care is so very poor. Part of injury to foot, caused by another doctor but I won't go into that, but anyway get swelling down. I didn't realize that swelling alone did so much damage. > > > I am having a symptom that is getting almost unbearable. Guest guest
Look into this link, read " a cure " posted by Jeff - makes sense. I used to have the problem it describes... now I realize it went away sometime after I switched to " thai crystal stone " and no longer used and anti-perspirant. http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Thai-Crystal-Deodorant-Stone/dp/B000AN1JEI/ref=sr_1_1\ ?ie=UTF8 & s=hpc & qid=1248629726 & sr=8-1 Jeri On Sun, Jul 26, 2009 at 9:57 AM, <Jsverdlove@...> wrote: > I am having a symptom that is getting almost unbearable. Guest guest
I have been reading the posts on the burning hands and it 'hit home'. For at least a year my hands and feet have been red, and my feet get more red and burn when I have been walking around a lot (errands). Last year my prim care looked at them, and when she touched my arms and legs she remarked that my skin felt hot. Nothing more on the subject-- I was there for another problem at the time. I retired a year ago because of the ongoing renovations in the hospital where I had worked for 14 years, during which time I became ill from paint, dust, glue, asbetos removal, cleaners, etc., and last year found out this curse had a name-- MCS. Not sure if this is relevant-- Jan through Apr 2008 I got severely ill, they were replumbing the wing where my office was, going up through the ceiling right outside my office door. I missed a lot of work for 4 mos then took early retirement. The burning-- was it Jill? I wonder if her burning is caused by fumes/offgasing from something in the house-- a constant-- because during the months of replumbing and something else they were doing before that, the skin on my whole body was burning like my skin was on fire, burned non-stop for most of those 4 months, even kept me awake at night, scared me. Recently, I stunk up my house by using antibacterial soap to wash down one of my fiberglass tubs and the two bathroom vanities, which created mild fumes for about 5 days, and I do remember my skin burned again, as with the replumbing. (will not buy antibacterial anymore, so glad I have 4 air cleaners.) I also noticed something strange. My nose seems 'floppy' to the touch. When I blow my nose it does not seem anchored on my face, though I just can't remember what it felt like before I had nasal polyps removed 3 years ago. My skin does not feel normal-- like a moist, soft texture. I can barely feel the scratch when I run my fingernail over the skin on my face, arms and legs, I feel something but it's different, barely feel it. I was wondering if the way my skin feels is because of my edema, the MCS, or neurological damage caused by MCS. Anybody here got a 'floppy' nose or skin that does not feel normal anymore??? ............Corky
