Oh, near IR LEDs. I'll make my own fixture, and not worry about burnt skin.

Thanks! Now, to locate a supplier. Not as good as far IR, but it's cheaper.

I recommend *adding* to existing treatments 'massage' of several types.

Healing massage techniques now abound. Books for the DIYer.

Go to a massage parlor or PT for some first experiences at a price,

then DIY (do it yourself).

Accupressure is terrific to speed healing. Read a book in the store for

just the few pages you need.

Stretching exercises are key to healing. Mostly it breaks up scar

tissue between muscle bundles, which enhances blood flow, and

stretching moves blood in and out of the injured area.

Add all three above, and it should be just 1 month before the crutches go.

YMMV.

The stretching is likely the most effective after 4 months on crutches.

First accupressure, then massage, then stretch, then massage and

finish with accupressure. About 20 minutes to 30. Three times a day,

or four. Five if you can manage it.

Did not the PT tell you, teach you, how to do the stretching yourself,

and tell you to do it every day, twice or three times? Ask them if

that will speed healing. Have them show you how it's done.

Do it for them, and they will adjust your method.

Then you do not have the visit the PT anymore.

All PT exercises need to be done on your own, at your home, at least

once a day.

Ask your PT about this.

Ask you PT a lot of questions. They can help you heal faster than a

doctor can.

They see it daily, whereas a doctor sees you just once, and not again.

PTs know a lot. Leverage off them. Ask questions. They love to help.

If you have difficulty in reaching your injury, then likely a good

109 bucks spent.

It will not be the same as 3 times a day stretching with massage. Why?

Physical motion is the key. The ultra sound does not " move " anything

in large ways, just vibrates everything.
