I must reply to this statement. According to EdM the product contains as the

active ingredient -benzyalkonium choride. This is quaternary ammonium compound.

It causes eye, skin and mucous membrane irritation. It can also release ammonia.

Just because it is registered with the EPA does not make it safe. The EPA only

registers pesticides, it does not approve or say the pesticide is safe.

Further, other ingredients will also be present. Pesticides are registered with

the active ingredient (in the case benzalkonium chloride). Other ingredients

are probably also present. Usually these are listed as inert ingredients. All

the inert means is that it is not active ingredient, but it may well be toxic.

For example, pyrethroids are listed as the active ingredient in insecticides.

Piperonyl butoxidie is also listed and it used to help activate the pyrethroid.

Finally, on the label one will also see " inert ingredients " . This only means

they are not active ingredients.
