My doctor had recommended this charcoal/zinc detox soap:

http://www.collectivewellbeing.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details & flypage=f\

lypage1 & product_id=33 & category_id=13 & manufacturer_id=0 & option=com_virtuemart & Ite\

mid=26

Unfortunately I'm allergic to the detox soap(it has tes tree oil in it), so I'm

trying to find an alternative...I found the following:

http://www.socalcleanse.com/shop/organic-charcoal-detox-soap-unscented.html

and

http://www.amazon.com/Deitanseki-Soap-Charcoal-Facial-Cleansing/dp/B000YBZIAC/re\

f=cm_cr_pr_product_top

(I also deal with trouble keeping my pores clear....people say this product

helps with that, but it seems that it's just for the face... and I'm not sure

that it's what I solely need....plus neither of them have zinc in them)

Is there any other product I should look into or are these good?

Thanks and best wishes everyone;)

Interesting topic, " detox soap. " I'm wondering what it is.

Detox occurs internal to the body, where topical soap does not reach.

However, one detox pathway, a minor one for most chemicals, but

not for a few as sometimes mercury leaves via the skin.

I would think that " any " soap will remove toxins from the skin.

The key is to wash frequently, or after a hot shower (after the cool

down to stop the sweat that contains most of the toxins), or sauna.

However, you mentioned " pores " , and pores should be cleared.

Accumulated toxins in pores get reabsorbed, to a small degree,

as they are more " stored " in the dander that gathers in the pore,

creating a larger pore, that when cleared, leaves " holes " in your

skin, while the pore shrinks back down to the proper size over

the course of 2-6 months.

Large pores, cleared or not, are prime breeding grounds for

germs. Protection, warmth, moisture and food are present.

Fungus likely will overwhelm colonies of bacteria, and viruses

need more protection from UV light, and a lot more moisture.

So, clearing the pores, letting them shrink back to the proper size,

and using a " detox " soap, or cleansing bar, or whatever name

you want.

Charcoal consists of strips of carbon " paper " , very long strips.

And will then to scrape off the top layer of pore gunk, trapping

inside the windings of the charcoal carbon strips. And act

as an abrasive, a mild one, to get deeper into the pore.

I know of faster methods. I do not have the time to type them now.

One worked well for me. But it is the most dangerous, and needs

the most precise instructions, and there is no way I will type that.

Way too long.

So, soap it is. Disinfection is another key, to prevent fungus

from infecting the abraded skin, and pore surfaces.

Peroxide for 5 seconds is good. Do not scrub with peroxide.

Just dab or spray on, rub with fingers, then rinse off. It does

make holes in cloth, or white spots from color bleaching,

so no drips onto your clothing. Do a soap wash three to

four times a day, with a meal, and at bed time, and follow

each with a peroxide rub and rinse.

This will also eliminate fungus causing acne, and reduces

acne scar tissue (dissolves the scar tissue), and over 2-6

years most acne scars will disappear. There are medicated

creams in the health food stores that do the same thing.

Peroxide is the active ingredient. Cheaper to forgo the

cream. But cream does not bleach clothing.

Feedback? I know this was not quite what you were expecting.

I'd like to know what you are trying to " do. "

To me, it was not clear. I did not read the URLs you provided

and that might be way.

Hope this helps.

Baking soda is great...

I use about a box/a pound a week...

And it is great for acne, as well...

If you can't use the ocean which is a great " tonic, " baking soda is great.

There is also a " kelp " soap. It is found as a product of Ireland in the health

food/product soap. I find it excellent.

The skin is the largest organ and through the lymph glands we sweat out a lot of

toxins. The sauna was/is a " no-no " for me.

What was the problem you had with saunas?

Thanks.
