Guest guest
Can you ask them to move you?? barb1283 <barb1283@...> wrote: I've been out of touch since I haven't had much internet access as I am staying at a hotel again. Fairly nice one, at a hugely reduced price for over a month stays and it smells moldy to me!! It didn't when I moved in a couple weeks ago. Sigh! If I leave before a month is up, I pay a lot more so I have the windows open now with a fan blowing air in with door cracked open. I feel like I'm living in Hell. I thought air would be good here because hotel has central air and heat but the odor is unmistakable. Perhaps not coming from a/c but the humidity in spring bringing the moldy smell from elsewhere in hotel. Halls smell moldy too. I asked to see a couple other rooms and 'moldy'. I don't know whether to sleep at home or the hotel now. I had additional water damage to my home, high winds late last summer blew off some roofing tiles and then basement crack came back that was repaired. It's an old house so it's always something. I had source of leak fixed by now, but it has to be cleaned up well before it is safe. The only thing that seems better at hotel, is my skin is less itchy at hotel, so probably less allergens at hotel, but otherwise don't feel any better. Ugh! Hopefully I can get the cleaning done by end of month arrangements and this can just become another fond memory.
Guest guest
--- Barb: Please be very careful in that moldy hotel. My immune system never recovered after my last moldy room and I was only in there for three weeks. The mold-smell is most likely in the AC/Heat, that is where is was in my room. Take care and know when it is time to get out. D In , " barb1283 " <barb1283@...> wrote: > > I've been out of touch since I haven't had much internet access as I am staying at a hotel again. Guest guest
I asked to see some other rooms and they smelled moldy too. I've cut off the a/c and opened the windows and put a fan in the window. It smells a bit better. I wouldn't know where to move too. I haven't had much luck in finding a un-moldy place before. I think the country is in a national moldly house emergency state really. Maybe that's why America's rank so low in quality of health compared to other industrialized nations. We do rank very low. > > I've been out of touch since I haven't had much internet access as I am staying at a hotel again. Guest guest
Very sorry to hear about you having to deal with this again, Barb. I can relate about the difficulty in finding even decent temporary quarters let alone something suitable for people already suffering from mold exposure. I hope you can find the best help to restore your home. Sincerely, Sam --- On Tue, 5/12/09, barb1283 <barb1283@...> wr I think the country is in a national moldly house emergency state really. Guest guest
Barb, please leave now-you know that with repeat exposure we get much sicker-and even a few days might mean the difference between being able to live in a house and never being able to have a normal life again, like me. I would not wish the life I have on anyone but a mold-denying Dr, and it all happened from repeat-exposures over the years after I left my moldy house and had completly recovered my health. Please I am begging you not to enter the legions of the un-dead > > I asked to see some other rooms and they smelled moldy too.
