From: dragonflymcs <dragonflymcs@...> Subject: [] Dr's Visit Miami/ University Center of Excellance Date: Sunday, August 2, 2009, 6:50 PM Hi All I have ILD from mold. I had a Dr.'s visit for a pulmo. So you do not waist your TIME or money, do not see Dr: Department of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Glassberg, Marilyn K., M.D. Associate Professor of Medicine Director, Interstitial Lung Disease Clinical Research Program 305-585-7340 http://ww3.med. miami.edu/ medicine/ x556.xml My apponitment was for 10:15 am. The B>> made me wait until 1:30. This is what happened next: She was probably the rudest, most impersonal Dr I have ever seen. To have traveled such a distance and have the first words that came out of her mouth were " You are in the wrong place " This woman had my documents before I got there for at 2 weeks or more. You think she would have reviewed her papers since she apparently only takes guinny pigs for research, that is what I got from her attitide, demeanor, etc. She only wanted guinny pigs for Idopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Then she tried to blame my Dr who sent me there stating she had made a mistake. This w>>> is the Director with about as much bedside manner as a bull. She also said " We do not treat mold illness " Everytime I said something she twisted what I said, I stopped taliking since I had no witness. However did correct her in front of collegues. There are supposed to be 21 centers of Excellance in the US who are dedicated to ILD. This was one of them. ( Follow the link below. ) This is the forth Dr I see. The third said " What makes you think that if the Cleaveland Clinic did not touch you that I would ? That was also the extent of his conversation and the extent of the visit. I am sick and tired and most of all disgusted. I wish I did not have to see any regular IDIOTS or idiots on a regular basis. Had my appointment been for 1:30 in the afternoon I would not have spent the initial night at the hotel. Second Dr tht day was better and saw how upset I was from the first. Asked about my appointment and what if anything anyone had done. She ordered tests, and reffered me to another pulmo at the hospital. Either way I am not up for this Dr's line of guinney pigs. I had someone pass not long ago, about one moth ago. Like me he had ILD his type was different since there are about 200 different types. However he did a trial, the trial meds detroyed his bone marrow. Now he needed a bone marrow transplant, but because of his lung disease he could not get one, and visa versa. He suffered much as his family. Sorry about typo's https://www. ipfnet.org/ God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen
