I've read a few of his books, not feeling called to check this one out. " Awakening to your life's purpose " is part of the title. To me, that implies if I don't know my life's purpose, I'm asleep. But it feels like when I sense there is no purpose in life, that it just IS, I'm at my most peace-full. Funny, but if it'd said " Awakening to your life " I think I might be more interested in it. hmm, maybe I'm supposed to write that book? Eckhart, ain't he the guy who sat on the park bench for a year or so? If yes, I find it a bit humorous that he's written a book to let people know their life purpose. I can relate to thinking I should do things better, or others should do things better. Maybe that's not true. Does 'better' even exist? Guest guest
Hi , This is probably a good example of marketing on Eckhart's behalf - that many people will go for the book on the basis of wanting to find out their life's purpose - and by the end of the book he shares that the 'real' purpose of life is to wake up, as you say :-) By the way, I recommend 'Practicing the power of now' - it is a summarised version of the Power of Now and I would say the best of all his books - this title is misleading as it sounds like a workbook, but it is not that at all. Guest guest
This is an extraordinary film. Thank you for letting us know about it. The Big Question Hi all. I just became aware of this movie about forgiveness. It is not available on DVD yet, but will be soon (you can sign up for an email alert if you are interested getting a copy). I got a chance to see it because my uncle is actually in the film. I think it is an excellent teaching tool. Check out the trailer on the movie website if you get a chance. It is well worth it.http://www.bigquestionthemovie.com/ Winters, MA, MS, R-DMT, LCAT Hotmail: Powerful Free email with security by Microsoft. Get it now.
