Guest guest
Beata, I never thought of that. How do people with protheses walk without muscles??? Does the strength come from the other leg or perhaps they use their back more???? Karon
Guest guest
Hi Karon, Actually people without " an other leg " , meaning they have 2 protheses from below the knee, can walk too! They even run, I saw that on Paralympics. There was this guy with two protheses who wanted to run in they Olympics, but his protheses were so good, they were considered a means of cheating! I am sure they walk with their thigh muscles, both backside and front. So, what would be great would be " robot legs " for us bad walkers, same as for the people with protheses, but you put them on top of your legs, no need for amputation. Honda's robot legs are a bit like that, but they look too technical, once they will become better integrated with the human body, I will get them! http://www.robotliving.com/2008/11/11/hondas-robot-legs/ Beata
