problems, has gone through breast surgery? I am almost sure my health is

not capable for that, but I thought I would see if anyone has done that.

Well, life is, what it is...and it's a beautiful day on the Oregon Coast!

Thank you for your help, and I could use some prayers ;-)

I will sure pray for you!  I am going to recommend that you drink 8oz. of Xango

juice every day.  This juice is awesome.  It has cured cancer, tumors, etc.  It

is for so many different health issues.  It is all natural.  I give it to my son

who has CMT 1A and is 5 years old.  I hope everything turns out well.  Take care

and Keep smiling!!!

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Kay,

I'm so sorry to hear this news.  It's must have been a very difficult thing to

hear from your doctor today.

Please don't cancel your appointment on Thursday.  Make yourself go.  You are

strong.  You can get through this.  You are strong enough for the surgery.  You

can do it.

You are a very positive person with very positive energy.  You would normally be

saying positive things to yourself right now, but today...understandably you

can't.  So read those words again and again...slowly.  You are strong.  You are

going to get through this, just like you've handled every other challenge that's

been thrown your way.

Think of what you would say to someone else on this message board, if the tables

were turned, and begin to say that to yourself...as soon as you are able.

I've had two close friends who've gone through breast cancer surgery.  It wasn't

easy, but they are both doing very well now...4 and 7 years later...and you are

every bit as tough as they are.

Don't cancel your doctor's appointment.  Let your heart specialist confirm you

can handle the surgery and even more importantly, get into the breast surgeon's

office as soon as you can.

Can someone go with you?  If not, perhaps you can write down your questions

before you go and then take a tape recorder with you, since it's difficult to

take everything in while at the doctor's office.

Here is some info with some suggested questions to ask your doctor:

http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/wyntk/breast/page10

You may also want to talk to others who been through it.  Here's the number for

the Komen helpline,1.800 I'M AWARE® (1.800.462.9273), Monday through

Friday, 9am to 5pm CST.

http://ww5.komen.org/IWasDiagnosed/IveBeenDiagnosedwithBreastCancer.html

Maybe you can just call this number tomorrow and talk to someone.  Don't think

about it too much...just do it.

One little step at a time.  One day at a time.  You are strong enough.  You can

do it.  My thoughts and strength are with you.

Hi Kay,

My heart goes out to you!  Your outlook seems so positive and I think that, in

itself, will help pull you through this.  Wow.....will you have surgery soon or

can they shrink the tumor?  My sister had breast cancer so I am always thinking

I might be unlucky, too.  Perhaps you will hear from someone soon who is in a

wheelchair, too, and has had breast cancer.  I feel it is very smart to know

all of your options, expectations before and after surgery, etc.  I wish you

the best of luck and I will say a prayer for you!

Kay.

How devastating that news must be. I was so impressed with your ability to

see that it is a beautiful day.weather wise, even though it must feel like

your world is falling apart. Take it one day at a time. You will

definitely be in my prayers and please keep us all posted. Even though we

have never met, I have enjoyed reading your posts, and hope you will

continue to bless us with your wisdom.

Warm thoughts and prayers,

Dear Kay, I was diagnosed two years ago with Leukemia. I am doing well

and my prognosis is good. I will keep you in my prayers.. if you need to

chat, please feel free to email me. Sometimes you just need to lean on

someone who has been through diagnosis and treatment.. I praise God for my

family and my Doctors. I was diagnosed in 1993 with CMT 2.. so I am dealing

with both struggles and I just put my faith in God and I am thankful for

each day. Carol

Good Afternoon !

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

You know I don't seem to have many bad days anymore...Just some bad moments

in the day. When I get those bad moments I remind myself to focus only on

the moment, and it works! If I forget... life does get overwhelming.

I would highly recommend the book, " A New Earth " by Eckhart Tolle. I am a

Christian, but I feel all faiths can learn from this book. I have a hard

time believing God puts one faith before another...but that's just me.

Thank you again,

Kay

Hi Karon,

I sure never thought I would get breast cancer.

I am learning about it as the days go along...

We have bad health care in the small town of Seaside so I am trying to get an

appointment in the closet large town...which is Portland.

Now I feel...Everyone needs to get mammograms...which I hadn't been doing...

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!!!

You have my prayers as well! In my family we always use the phrase: It is what

it is.

It gets us through so much. I finally realized this year that if you have no

control over a certain thing, then you just have to deal with whatever comes

your way. It has lightened my burdens and I have indeed turned it over to a

higher power. You seem to have this great attitude as well.

A sense of humor never hurts either! Please keep us posted...

Kay,

I don't post too often here, but I'm a regular reader, so I feel that I kind of

know you. I'm very sorry about your cancer diagnosis - I mean enough is enough!

Being in a wheelchair and using a bipap should be enough hardships for anyone!

I hope your visit with the heart specialist goes well. You obviously have a

very STRONG SPIRIT, and I sincerely hope that that, along with everyone's

prayers, will see you thru this. I think you have been an inspiration to many

people here on the forum, and will continue to be.

Kay,

I always felt we were somehow on the same path. I am a HUGE fan of Eckhart

Tolle. I have read the Power of Now and The New Earth and give the book to

anyone I think will read it. It has had a large impact on my life. I also

started a daily mediation practice about a year ago which has helped keep me

in the present and noticing all that is in front of me, which I used to

ignore in favor of obsessive thinking about the past and future. My CMT was

diagnosed a year and a half ago, which was likely the impetus for my

spiritual searching.

I send daily healing thoughts into the universe with your name attached.

Keep your posts coming!

Love and Prayers to you.

I just want to say it has been heart-warming to witness all the posts these last

few days in response to my sisters scare with potential breast cancer.  As

Kays brother, I want to personally thank all of you for your prayers and overall

care and concern for her well being. I may be somewhat biased, but I know she

has been a huge asset over the years to this group through her support for many

of the members with CMT questions and/or those who just needed alittle

encouragement.

Please continue your prayers.  My sister is one of the most " spiritually strong "

people I have known and maintains a positive attitude BUT we can all us some

extra " boost " from our family and friends when faced with health issues.

Personally, I am still praying for a misdiagnosis at this juncture....I love you

sis.
