Hi Gretchen,

This is fascinating stuff.  Is there a way we can find out how they defined

" intermittent fasting " ?  In other words, it would be helpful to know the length

and frequency of the fasting.  Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Yeah, I'm not sure. Ascorbic Acid worked on the mouse model, but many people

have a very difficult time taking large amounts of Vitamin C (we're still

waiting to see whether it actually works in humans). Intermittent fasting

appears to also help in the mouse model, but I doubt many folks would look

forward to a life of not eating every other day. Very positive results

nevertheless. Having the mouse model is extremely helpful...

Heck, I'd look forward to eating even every third day, if it meant I could walk,

or use my hands!

The AA trials must be running into a few problems, otherwise - I assume - we

would already be hearing of significant results. Hopefully, I'm wrong, though.

DNA/etc. is so easily turned on, and off, that we must be missing something

obvious.

I'm with you on that, augold123, both on the fasting and our DNA possibly being

more easily manipulated than anyone may have thought. Interesting thoughts on

that research study gives me FOOD for THOUGHT.....pun intended. Bill
