From what I last knew based on veterinary medicine, these are 2

totally different drugs. Wikipedia has a wonderful explanation of

drugs.

I believe that MS is from mold too. I pray for healing for your Son.

God Bless,

Pat

I've taken both medications. Nystatin is one of the original anti-

fungal drugs (30 years ago). It stays in the gut inside the mucous

membrane and kills candidae and other yeast by direct contact.

Diflucan was developed much later and is a systemic drug, it

functions by getting in the blood stream and circulates throughout

the body including the intestines. It can be harsh on the liver so

liver enzyme levels need to be checked frequently. Both are

prescription.

Hi Carl,

thank you for the information. My son has MS and the doctor says an anti fungal

drug is fine to take with his copaxon. I have a book that says Nystatin is

responsive for MS if mold was the trigger for the MS. Which one do you think is

better?

thanks,

leslie

leslie,

I'm not a doctor and am not familiar with MS so I don't have any

basis for an opinion. Perhaps others have appropriate

experience.

Dear ,

I am no expert here, am not prescribing and only have just heard of this

recently second hand, but have you heard of low dose naltrexone for your son's

ms? It is a prescription drug that in low doses that might help with the

associated symptoms of ms and other conditions with little or no side effects.

I've not tried this at this time nor do I know of anyone that has, but it might

be worth investigating. Here is a web page that has some info.

" http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/ "

Hope this is helpful,

Sam
