I am SO sorry for what you are going through. I have ultracet only for pain

too, and I can take only up to 8 per day because they are tylenol based and can

hurt your liver. Sometimes I do go over if I have a bad day and I figure I'll

worry about my liver later (and probably be sorry!)

Where are you writing from? If you're in Virginia, I can try to help you find a

doctor. Have you called your insurance company (or medicare?) and asked for a

referral? It sounds like you definitely need a new doctor. That psychiatrist

sounds like a quack. How on earth could you not be in pain with all of that

you've gone through? How would the psych know what your primary doctor was

prescribing anyway? I wouldn't think the PCP would have to report back to the

shrink. I've found that most of them don't communicate back and forth. I just

spent 13 months with a gastroenterologist, and the last time I was at my PCP,

they didn't even realize I'd been under treatment by the gastro, even though I

had him send copies of all the test results and the surgery stuff to them! I

know how you feel wanting to die because you hurt so bad. You've found a great

support group here though and no one minds if you vent.
