New to the board. How is the job market?

Hi, everyone,

My name is . I am in the middle of filling out my application to

NYU for their Masters in Drama Therapy program. I have some background

intheraputic drama as I worked for CANY (Creative Alternatives of New

York) on and off for several years. I know I LOVE the work and believe

in the power of the arts to heal. But I'm feeling a little scared. I am

married with two small children (ages three and six months). Taking on

the program is something I really want to do, but with the economy the

way it is I'm worried about taking on the finanial burden of the

eduacation if there aren't jobs out there to be had.

Would anyone care to share with me their experiences with finding jobs

in NYC and New Jersey (we may be moving to Maplewood)? What are

starting salaries like?
