,

I am not in the Bay area, but at the Conference last November there was a very

good orthotist as one of the speakers. I don't remember the name, but you could

ask Pat or Dana at the CMTA or look on the DVD to find the name and also hear

the presentation. O and Rick might be able to add their input too.

I went to the Hanger in Stratford, CT. I originally got my AFOs from Helen

Rehab Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY years before. I don't have the name

of the person with me now but when I do, I'll email you the name. I just needed

my straps replaced actually a few weeks ago. Instead of just replacing them he

also noticed a part of the brace was digging into my skin slightly which I

didn't even notice. When the AFO was done and put on I actually felt the

difference. Very pleased.

Thanks Gretchen,

I remember that speaker, he was very knowledgeable and has been a good resource,

but he is with the team at Wayne State in Detroit. We've been talking with

another orthotist in their clinic, but would love someone more local that we

could set up an office appointment with.

I'll see if or Rick can give me any pointers. We also will be looking

into the MDA clinic.

Thanks again,
