In 2007, Governor Charlie Crist signed Senate Bill 2234, which included provisions for state licensure and regulation of individuals offering mold-related services and home inspectors. The meetings will focus on the requirements in the new law and how the department will license and regulate individuals offering mold-related services and home inspectors. Topics will include grandfathering provisions, requirements for criminal history background checks and licensure examinations. The department has established Web sites for home inspectors and mold-related services, where stakeholders can find more information about the law and upcoming meetings.
