The CMTA is pleased to announce the compilation of a new cookbook to raise funds for its STAR(Strategy to Accelerate Research) initiative, and your help is needed. You must have a few favorite recipes that warm the heart and comfort the soul, and now you can share them with the rest of the world. Spearheaded by New England CMTA Support Group Leader Mark Boxshus, the Alphabet Soup cookbook project will include your favorite crowd pleasers in a keepsake edition, created in a collaborative effort between the CMTA and the . One lucky participant will also win the Grand Prize and have a Special Feature Page about his or her award-winning recipe, so please use the " Note/Story " section of the submission form to say what is special about your recipe, or what memories or thoughts it brings to mind. Your recipes and stories will help make Alphabet Soup a meaningful and enduring memento, and you will want to display it proudly in your kitchen or pass it along to other family members. You may even want extra copies available for gift giving occasions all year long. Please consider joining the CMTA since membership in the association is FREE during their 25th Anniversary Celebration ( https://secure.charcot-marie-tooth.org/join.php). You are also encouraged to solicit recipes from your family members and friends. If you are good friends with the Obama family or former Presidential families, by all means ask them for a recipe or two! 100% of all proceeds from Alphabet Soup will go directly towards finding a cure for CMT, through the STAR initiative. So get involved today and start digging out those recipes! Submissions will be accepted until May 31, 2009, and all selected recipes will be tested thoroughly to ensure specified results. And if you're the type that has more take out menus than recipes, but you would like to be involved without getting your hands dirty, you can simply make a donation to the CMTA Cookbook Project. All donations received will be used to fund the expenses associated with the production of this book, and your participation will be noted on our " Sponsor Page " . Sponsors will have their name printed in this section without the donation amount. Please send your monetary gift to the CMTA, 2700 Chestnut Street, Chester, PA 19013. Make sure to put a note specifying that your gift is for the " CMTA cookbook project " . Also, if you've got a favorite local chef or culinary celebrity that's a " Who's Who " in your community, ask them if they'd like to donate a recipe or make a donation to our book. Don't be shy!
