Guest guest
Hi Sam, Just be sure that you are using Firefox. I've had it pop up malware sites. AVG's (www.grisoft.com) free version will also warn you of these sites. I just finally installed more memory (RAM) to accommodate these programs. It will slow down your computer, but it's better than stopping it altogether. Do you, or does anyone else know if there is a way to asure that you are being directed to an ok web site? Might be a dumb question, but isn't one S> of the problems with malware that it can direct you to a similar looking website. Always makes me a little cautious when going to download from some site or have a scan done. Many thanks and sorry S> KC if this is too far off topic. S> Sam S> S> Joe, use Firefox as a browser rather than IE. Also install the free S> version of Zone Alarm. Zone Alarm also has a whole Suite of protection S> stuff, but you have to pay subscription fees every year. Might be S> worth it though. One excellent way to get rid of malware is to do a S> " Housecall " at www.trendmicro. com. It takes a long time, but finds S> things that other programs don't.
