Have you tried loaning the heater out to someone to run it awhile and then tried

to use it. The new odor might dissipate. Also have you had the gas and

electric company out to your place to check for gas leakage in your system.

Someone was at my house and thought she smelled gas. Two other people there and

me, we didn't smell it, but I had the utility company out and sure enough there

were small leaks here and there around the basement that had to be fixed.

Nothing big but still they were there. I have not had experience with either

heater you mention. I have three area oil fin heaters though, all by DeLonghi.

I like them but I think originally there was an odor but not now.

Luckily I live in a part of the country where I can get by with space heaters.

However, I have bought four of them online, and all smelled so bad either before

I turned them on or after that I had to donate them to charity.

if anybody has experience with them, or if you can suggest a heater that does

not smell.
