Guest guest
Do you guys know about using handicapped placards when traveling. I live in Houston but am traveling to Washington state soon. Can I take my placards with me and just use them in another state?
Guest guest
http://www.marylandmva.com/AboutMVA/DISABILITIES/default.htm#disability_placard May I use my disability placard or plate when traveling in other states? Yes, all States must recognize removable disability placards, temporary disability placards and special license plates which have been issued by authorities of other states for the purpose of identifying vehicle(s) permitted to utilize parking spaces reserved for persons with disabilities. Although States must recognize disability placards, temporary disability placards and special license plates to utilize parking spaces reserved for persons with disabilities, you may not be entitled to free-metered parking. Guest guest
We've even used Jim's CA disability tag in Europe with no problem. Elinor
Guest guest
Hi , I have Missouri placards and have used them in Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Washington state (to name a few) without incident. Most people won't question an out of state handicapped placard. T.
Guest guest
In Wisconsin we're required to keep the actual proof of disability in our vehicle, in case there was ever any question. I keep it in the glove compartment with my van registration. I don't think you'd get a fine in any state if you had proof like that. I've traveled to other states and have never had a problem. K.
