Guest guest Posted June 16, 2009 Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 Someone in this group posted that they were embarrassed about their disability tags and hid them. I find that extremely unhealthy. If you hide your disability tags and are embarrassed about having them, then I believe that you haven't fully accepted your illness. Acceptance is the first step to coping and rising above your disability. When I use my disability tag to park (which is 95% of the time), I feel appreciative that it allows me the " ability " to shop, run errands, go to church, etc. I use the tools that help me cope and have as normal of existence as possible.
