Guest guest
Totally agree, nice sentiments. I would add that self respect is even more important than self esteem. If everyone acts with self respect, they by default, treat others with respect -- as they must in order to maintain their self respect, and the whole world becomes a better place. One of my favorite quotes -- I believe was from Abraham Lincoln when addressing an adversary in Congress: " I will treat you like a gentleman, sir, not because you are one, but because I am. Guest guest
If someone looks down on you, or doesn't respect you, or dislike you, it is someone's problems, not yours. Psychology reserch talks about projection and introjection. People project their own issues onto others. Thus, we need to be smart and wise enough not to introject their own projections as ours. Choose what and who are allowed to get into our life, our mind, and our feelings.
