Guest guest Posted June 17, 2012 Report Share Posted June 17, 2012 Hi Group- I'm needing some insight into a situation at my grade school dealing with student information and privacy. I noticed recently when accessing my parent account at my school district, that under the general student information section, now listed in the " nurse alert section " , is 'mosaic down syndrome'. In years past, I have listed my son's spine precautions noting things like no tumbling or potential for high impact falls. It appears the school has taken information from the IEP and placed it in the public domain for an unlimited number of school employees to view. I have requested the diagnosis be removed from the nurse alert section and the school has yet to correct the information. I welcome any advice from the group.
