Guest guest
Because there would be multiple research papers stating so. And as far as I am aware, there is only one in 1993 that makes this claim and it has never been validated. And...... our finest researchers say it has not found in building materials to date. Guest guest
I have read the comments on this topic. I have a few questions. How would we know if T-2 toxins had been found in a water-damaged building? Do any labs test for T-2 toxins? I have seen reports from Aerotech Labs and there is nothing on the report where they could include information about T-2 toxins. Has anyone ever heard any discussion about T-2 toxins during their experience with mold in their homes, schools or businesses? I have never heard any mention of T-2 toxins in those settings. Maybe it is intentionally not discussed by labs or experts because nobody wants to find any proof of T-2 toxins in water-damaged buildings. If a lab did test for T-2 toxins, how would it show up on the report? Maybe everyone on Sickbuildings could check their lab reports to see if there is any indication of testing for T-2 toxins. Guest guest
Thanks, Sharon. I hope someone answers my other questions. Maybe the insurance companies have been intentionally withholding that information from policyholders. How many mold victims have actually received copies of the lab reports directly from the labs? Maybe the insurance companies have withheld that information from the policyholders. If the policyholder received lab reports from the insurance company, did they receive all pages? ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: " snk1955@... Guest guest
and Others: The below paper has claimed to identify T-2 toxin along with other tricothecenes in the ventilaton system of office buildings. These observations have not been repeated by other investigators, particularly in homes. As such the results are questionable, however the authors and/or others must repeat these observations before one accepts them as the truth. To date, T-2 toxin has not been demonstrated to be present in water damaged homes. If T-2 Toxin were to be demonstrated, it would be listed as T-2 Toxin in a report by a reputable laboratory.
