Guest guest
Here are some ideas to do if you can't go to DC... My first thought is everyone send notes with pictures of your kids to your elected officials during that week, saying that you support the mission of the rally even though you are not able to attend. My 2nd thought is everyone who is not going try to organize a small rally with t-shirts (http://www.tacanow. org/store/ product.php?productid=16481 & cat=286 & page= 1) in your city/county/ state and try to get a local news program (or two or three) to cover your rally and the one in DC. The third is simple, buy your entire family t-shirts to wear that day, if I can afford it I am going to do this for my family to wear while I am in DC. Primer "It's not just a good 'IDEA', its the law"... ~From Section 1400. Congressional statements and declarations The Congress finds the following:(1) Disability is a natural part of the human experience and in no way diminishes the right of individuals to participate in or contribute to society. Improving educational results for children with disabilities is an essential element of our national policy of ensuring equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities. ~Well-behaved women seldom make history~ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich Re: I'll Be There. . . Lenny, I hope that you and others who are involved in this event can keep the rest of us updated. Rest assured, we'll be there with all of you "in spirit". I'll be sure to include this whole event in my prayers cerca June 4th, for at least several weeks before and after. I have a few other things to pray for at that time too,... namely, that most of my students will succeed with their mandatory provincial testing, which is occurring at the same time. It will take some time to get these little tykes ready for their testing. I have some serious work cut out for me for the next few months,... Guest guest
I'm in a GFCF group as well. We are wearing a ribbon to find each other at the rally. Who from this group is going to the rally, and could there also be a ribbon or some kind of sticker or something for EOHARM so that we can also find each other at the rally. I keep finding the same people in different yahoo groups. I hope to meet some of the names and put them with faces. :-) Primer wrote: > Here are some ideas to do if you can't go to DC... > > My first thought is everyone send notes with pictures of your kids to > your elected officials during that week, saying that you support the > mission of the rally even though you are not able to attend. > > My 2nd thought is everyone who is not going try to organize a small > rally with t-shirts (http://www.tacanow. org/store/ product.php? > <http://www.tacanow.org/store/product.php?> > productid=16481 & cat=286 & page= 1) in your city/county/ state and try to > get a local news program (or two or three) to cover your rally and the > one in DC. > > The third is simple, buy your entire family t-shirts to wear that day, > if I can afford it I am going to do this for my family to wear while I > am in DC. > > > Primer " It's not just a good 'IDEA', its the law " ... > > ~From *Section 1400.
