Guest guest
For newbies... I'm trying to get my pH to a normal level. Anne says it should be 7.4 exactly. The book I got agrees; it says if you are outside the range of 7.35 to 7.45 your cells don't function right. That is a pretty narrow range. Lets see, today is Thursday right? Then it would have been Tuesday night I had tablespoon of baking soda. No upset stomach or sore throat this time, so I'm sure when I got it before, it was something I caught from my daughter. This time I put it in one swallow full of water, and put my tongue under the glass as I drank, so I wouldn't taste as much. It worked. Then I drank a whole glass full of water, then ate something. Baking soda makes you burp a lot; tastes like soda pop burps. Since having it, my pH is fluctuating between 6.2 and 6.8. I'm going to wait for it to stabalize a little before having more, probably a few days I'd guess (or just the next time I remember, more likely). Just a reminder, last time I has some, I think about a week and a half ago, it brought my up to a steady 6.0. Before I started I was constantly below the bottom of my test kit, which is 5.5. So far, it seems to be working much faster and more efficiently than I had anticipated. I thought it would take months. Just taking it twice has gotten me halfway there. By the way, the book that came with my kit says the best food, most alkalizing, most full of vitamins and antioxidants, is avocados. While no food has worked to bring my pH up before using baking soda, I'm going to watch closely the pH of what I eat, now and once I get to where I need to be. Maybe then I can keep it up naturally. The book also says that the food's pH, and the affect it has on your body's pH can be very different. You want to eat foods that are alkalizing to the body. Sometimes these foods have an acidic pH before you eat them, like lemons. If I find the time, I might do the test it suggests - test pH before and after eating each food (giving it the time it needs to affect you first, of course). Disclaimer - I'm not a doctor. I'm not promoting this. I'm just experimenting on myself to see if I can get my pH to where it needs to be. If you want to try it, you do so at your own risk, and I wish you luck. The test kit and book it came with came from Whole Foods Market. I can't remember the name, but it is green. Guest guest
We seem to do just fine with Crest Regular Paste. But of course if you are an Overly Acidic Fibro, you may benefit from the baking soda for pH.
