Guest guest
Geoff, yes, I get this. For me, I think the numbness, especially lips, is caused by the Neurontin. Just a gut feeling.
Guest guest
Lips no, except when kissing my wife!, but fingers and hands quite often from childhood to now (43 YO). Like when you lay wrong on your arm or leg/foot and " falls asleep " that is what happens at times with my hands. RPM
Guest guest
Oh, yeah. Fingers are susceptible to a lot of pressure points. Riding a bike, carrying those plastic grocery bags, using scissors, etc. The lip thing I don't understand but I get that too. It is usually just on the left side and comes and goes. Sometimes densely numb for days, sometimes lightly for hours. If you get any answers let me know! Holli in CA
Guest guest
Hi Geoff, I have problems with my hands falling asleep, especially overnight, with my arms bent too tightly. Also, they will tingle if I lean on the elbows wrong. Often, compression of one of the nerves as it goes through my elbow makes the pinky and one half of the ring finger turn slightly numb. My neurologist does not recommend surgery for this. As for the lips, actually I get numbness of tingling all over my face. It feels like I am coming off Novocaine and am almost back to normal, but not quite. It happens in random places all over my face, and sometimes on my scalp and even down the back of my neck and into my shoulders. I also have issues with various parts of my left foot going numb. Usually that happens while I am sitting and mostly goes away when I get up and walk around. This has been linked to my Sciatic nerve. All that said, I am going to embark on an eating plan that includes more fresh/organic foods and less processed junk. This might be tough, since I am the queen of junk food. However, after reading all the posts that talk about people feeling fewer symptoms when they eat better, I want to try. Good luck with the doctor.
