I talked to Dr. Whitcomb last summer. I was diagnosed with FMS/CFS and later

found out I had underlying Lyme and several co-infections. Dr. Whitcomb said

this is typical for people with fibro and that he was getting results. I

haven't seen him or done his program, basically because I've spent so much

and don't know that I can try another expensive treatment that may or may

not work. If you do try his treatment, I'd like to hear your results.

EVerything you say is what I have been since 92 when I was crushed

in car accident my self, I hurt all the time I am on morphine now

and that is all that will work now i hace arthritis and a rare lung

disease I am teminal from, somtimes I want to off my self also but I

wont.I have alot going for me even though I am on ssi,not much money

to have any fun, but I work part time and have a real good support

group at work my boyfriend is dying of liver cancer also and It takes

alot of energy to get thru the day, as much pain as i am in I try to

keep busy as much as I can I cant sleep more than half hour to two

hrs a night I hope this helps. It is terrible suffering and not

knowing who to go to. I have'nt found a Dr yet that will agree that I

have fibro.

My last doctor got in my face and would not give me anymore meds he

set me to a pain doctor who told me I needed to deal with my past

traumas. I don't bother with doctors too much anymore and am afraid

to say the word Fibro to them for fear I'm get bitched out and

called a physco. So I understand and I sorry you are suffering too

no one knows what we go through but us. Whitcomb capitalizes on that

fact and sound like a genuine believer but hey there are so many

money grubbers out there it's hart to tell who to trust. I use a

little test which pisses them off because I ask the hard questions

and I usually get blown off like I did with whitcomb staff of

volunteers. Hope all go's well for you....Dying is only are

extension of life. I have no-one not even a support network anymore

I keep to myself and wait for my time to end so I can go to the

better plain of living. My prayer to the creator is to take me from

this greedy plain of existence to a better non physical plain where

I / We are not burdened with the physical realm anymore. No kids no

family that cares anymore I just taking up space. I can't even get

SSI because I haven't worked in several years and SS says I have to

devoice my wife to get benefits. I don't want to bum people out here

so if I am just let me know I try to be more sensitive but as for me

I'm ready to exit and if my wife didn't need me for support and

wasn't hear I'd be gone. 42 years is a long long time to be ill...

I don't know your name but you sound very depressed. If you can't get

SSI then maybe the state will pay for some counseling. Have you tried

spiritual counseling? You also sound very very angry, and usually

depresssion can be caused by anger, and that anger/depression will

keep all diseases alive in any person. You need to get counseling to

begin to process your anger and let it go. You anger might be

replaced with gratitude. You could practice gratitude every day it

takes a while but eventually it might replace your anger. Osteen

has a book on it as do others. Dennis Prager has wonderfu book about

how its our duty to life on this earth to be happy. they are on

amazon.com so if you choose to find them they are they and not

expensive either.

Gratitude is a wonderful technique for re-shaping our mind, even if we

can't re-shape our bodies. You can be grateful because you still walk,

because you have a wife who loves you, you also have a home, you have

eyes to see, you live in a peaceful country where you are not

threatened daily with bombings or raids. I have a friend in africa who

does live like that and she knows many many people who have lost limbs

etc. Her life is a daily threat to her and she is so in awe of our

country. she helps me be grateful.

A wise man once said, if you want to make a sick man walk, give him

somebody to help. Can you find somebody to help? You could be a pen

pal to someone suffering from pain, or in another country, or in an

orphanage. maybe we can't get out of the house but we can still help

others over the internet. Could you put your pain to use? Could you

teach others what its like to overcome pain even when its still there?

People who have been through a lot of pain can use it as a mission in

life Your experience with pain is there for a reason, and somehow you

can help others with it.

I hope this is not offensive to you. I too have been in pain for most

of my life. A course in miracles helped me with the pain

tremendously. I still live in pain and can't work, but I feel so much

better from doing that course. its not expensive and you do it at

home. I try to help one person every day and that gives me a lift. I

need that lift every day.

P.S. also as an afterthought, have you ever asked your doc about

thryoid hormones? that could account for many of your emotions as well.

What's he using to treat your C. pneumoniae and Epstein Barr? I have both of

those, too and Candida from antibiotics.

Dr Hudson is a conventional doctor so for C. pneumonia, He prescribed

Avelox and Minocycline, which is known to work against the bug. While

on the antibiotics, he gave me Nizoral to prohibit candida. For

Epstein Barr, he is trying a medication which is meant to treat an

At this point, I am trying the medication, so I cannot attest to

whether it will work. Also, you need to have blood monitored while on

it as it can cause some problems.
