Guest guest
One topic we have not shared on is the relationship between those of us with CMT and our pharmacists/pharmacies (chemists in UK and elsewhere). So, I'm tossing out some questions for discussion/experience. No need to answer all, just share your experience with the topic. ~ Gretchen ***************************************************************** Do you currently take medication specifically for management of a CMT related issue? Do you have Health insurance that covers prescriptions? Have you ever purchased medications on-line from countries other than the USA? Have you traveled outside the USA, purchased medications in another country, and brought them back to the US? Do you have prescription medication insurance under a Medicare plan? Are your prescriptions covered under a state Medicaid program? Do you have an HMO prescription plan? Do you receive financial assistance for medications through a specific drug company? Do you receive free medication samples from your doctor? Do you mail order your medications to receive a larger, less expensive order? Do you research the medications you take, before taking them, or after? Are you satistified with your prescription medication plan? Do you have a low-copay for your medications? Have you ever split a dose of medication to save money? Does your pharmacist cross-check a new medication with one you already take, for interactions? Does your pharmacist cross check your medications with the supplements/vitamins you take? Does your pharmacist consult with you when you purchase a new medication? Have you ever sold your medications or given them away to others? Has your pharmacist ever compounded a prescription for you? Does your prescription medication plan send you monthly or quarterly statements about your medication purchases? Any other experience you wish to share directly pertaining to the topic is appreciated.
