Carl,

I am sorry that I gave the impression that you thought I thought you were

saying we should just wait. lol That is not at all what I meant. God

knows, you spend the majority of your days working to educate that the indoor

environment is a serious health threat.

Education of physicians as to the seriousness of these illnesses is

definitely key to winning their hearts and minds. But that alone is too slow

in

my book and lends room for the opportunity for politics to slip in the

cracks and muck up the education. Remember, a lot of these guys come from Big

Tobacco. Doubt of causation is their product and they are really good at

selling it.

Nothing is going to change quickly or accurately within the mainstream

medical community about the understanding of these illnesses until commerce

gets its little hands slapped for the mass promotion of misinformation over

this issue. The racketeering of the matter needs to be called out by our

elected officials in DC and in the courts, before they will stop with the

shenanigans.

But with that said, I would never down play the importance of what you and

many others do to raise awareness and educate. It is a key part of why we

have come as far as we have.

Sharon,

I'm sorry if I gave the impression we should just wait. I was

describing why the slowness is usually so slow. Even under the

best of events MAJOR change usually takes a generation. What I

evidently missed was the emphasis that if we aren't active NOW

then the harm continues for an extra generation.

But you are right that this is a different situation because of the

intentional and well financed efforts to prevent change.
