Good Morning all,

Several people asked me to update them on the results of " The Biggest Loser "

we're playing at work.  The last weigh-in of the second round was this morning.

The first, time I won.  This time, I came in second place; but I did win the

weekly prize 7 times out of the 14 weeks.

Between the two rounds, I've gone from size 18 and 197.5 lbs ( " obese " ) to size

9/10 and 153.5 pounds ( " normal " ).  That is a 44 pound loss.  And I look pretty

good now, if I do say so myself.  I'm sure I'll put back on a few over the

holidays, but We're playing again January - April.  My goal is 130 (No that is

not underweight, that would be below 120).

For those who ask how I did it... Hard work - eat less, better foods, no soda,

drink a lot of water, and exercise a lot.

And to my finance professor - thanks for the advice, it helped me get the last

weekly prize.  Loved the class.

Between now and the next round, I'll work on strength & toning.  Any advice

would be appreciated.  I can only bench press about 70 - 80 pounds; maybe less,

it's been a while.

Thanks for all the support everyone,

Cheryl

A Yahooooooo! to Cheryl, everyone.

Cheryl, I believe you have given us a ' yippee-i-ayyy slap on the buttucks' in

hopes that we can do it too!

Be it 5,10, 12, or 40 pounds, I believe we can mange to lose for our health.

And, girls, though hard as it may be, I believe if Cheryl can....I can, we can

too.

Thank you, Cheryl for sharing....and CONGRATULATIONS!

We are all proud of you and we cheer you on.

Now go buy that little black dress and silver shoes and pearl necklace. You'll

look beautiful at the coming Christmas parties and you deserve it. You worked

hard for it.

Sincerely,

Well thank you so much for the enthusiastic congrats . And I have

an idea. Would anyone like to join in and play with me next time? I

know it would be hard to do any sort of prize in here, but you'd get

recognition and better health for it. For those with a competitive

spirit, it is a great way to get the pounds off. I've done up a nice

spreadsheet for work; we can use the same template in here. Let me

know if you're interested... Jan 14 to April 15.

I'd also encourage everyone to play against your friends, family, co-

workers, etc. Money is a great motivator. If you can't afford that,

make it a home cooked dinner, free housework, babysitting, or whatever

might work for you.

I never could get myself motivated before. This really got me going.

(Although thanksgiving put a few pounds back on me.)

Cheers,

Cheryl
