There is a book called "Asperger's...What Does It Mean To Me?" by Faherty that I really liked. It is in workbook form. It is very adaptable for varying ages and abilities. Many of the worksheets can be used for the entire class which really helps to show how much alike everyone is and how differences can be positive.

I have used it in a number of class presentations over the years.

I bought it thru www.futurehorizons-autism.com

My daughter may be AS. ( I am sure her dad is.) She is 6 and I home school. She has always been a little bit odd and hard for others to deal with. Can anyone suggest a book that will help me to help her.

Thanks,

Some astute observations in the first book on this link but whilst it

could give insight probably best from a library. (small book, some

applies, some doesn't so spend your money on more important ones)

Understanding the different way a child interacts even though it might

look the same as a normal child is I think an important point.

She makes a clear case of how AS do not psychologically project whereas

most kids/people do.

This relates to what you will find in this group, NT tend to deal in

emotion, AS tend to deal in information.

Kingsley are _the_ publishers so browsing their catalogue might

be useful.
