Guest guest
Hi , See if the ship doc has any ice packs, or even just a plastic bag with ice, and when your legs are elevated, put the ice on. Also ask the ship doc about any infection that might be causing this. It just may be something simple as you overworked muscles with all the walking. I am also wondering if the ship happens to have a scooter that you could use for ports of call and sightseeing. Hope the cruise is the best! Guest guest
, It could be Charcot Joint, could be Arthritis, could be you're just over doing it, you need to go see your CMT doc or an orthopedic doc who is well versed in CMT. Guest guest
, I envy you this cruise! Having been in the same situation - I think some of the swelling comes from the extra salt they put in the food. You could try drinking TONS of water. Also, keep your legs elevated as much as you can, even on the tour bus. On excursions you may have to sit and meet the group at another point. If possible, find out if you could take a taxi and see the sights you want to see on your own. This has worked out well for us. Most ports have fleets of taxis waiting for ships to come in. We have done our own tours many times at a cost equal to or less than what a group tour costs. Or you may be able to find 2 more people who want to do the same thing and share a cab. That way you can go at your own pace. ENJOY! Penny
Guest guest
Thank you Gretchen. The ice and staying off my feet did wonders. The red is gone and my feet are back to their " normal " . See you soon!
