Guest guest
....thanks Shari. Yes I've heard this before and I keep trying to persuade my DAN to follow suit, but he's very risk-averse. Personally I can't see any risk at all but I am trying to stick with what he says (mostly....!). 's on anti-fungals all the time, just not anti-virals. Ah, now there's a thing. If I can't get an anti-viral prescription, do you happen to know of any good anti-viral supplements I could buy instead? To anyone following the chickenpox saga, I managed to get hold of my DAN and he advised to stop chelation while has chickenpox to give her immune system a chance to kick in without any other burdens on the body. He didn't think taking Valtrex (sorry not Vatrex as in earlier subject lines) or any other anti-viral while the chickenpox was active would help at all. 's been hit so hard with this thing that it does make me wonder if her vaccinations took at all. She was so ill with her mercury vacc's anyway so that too could be relevant. I'm pondering stem cell treatment by the way, if anyone is interested and wants to chat about it. Thanks again Shari, --- Chelation treatment/Vatrex with chicken pox? Hello everyone, Well, we have major spots going on here, and a sudden temp tonight of 39.5. My little girl (nearly 6, ASD) has really been in the wars these past few months. Broken leg at special school, home for 6 weeks because school couldn't cope, then barely back at school before off with projectile vomiting bug, healthy Xmas, back at school 4 days and now the pox. Anyway, the thing is, we're due to do another round of DMPS (200mg supps a night for 3 nights running then 11 days off) this Monday and I can't get hold of my DAN. Should we go ahead or is it too much of a strain on her little body? I should add the leg is healed now and the vomiting bug finished before Xmas. Also, 's regained her lost weight now and her recent blood test/pooh results were brilliant. But the pox is in full flight and the sudden temp has troubled me. I thought you didn't get those with chicken pox? Leading up to the pox (last 10 days or so) 's speech took off, comprehension too. Currently, she's incredibly verbal and " with it " despite feeling obviously uncomfortable with the itching, and very tired etc. Is there a link here with the virus? I don't know where the temp came from. I gave a joint dose of Nurofen and Calpol because once tipped into a febrile convulsion when her temp was only marginally higher than it is now. It's worked and all is now normal some 7 hours after the dose. Also, I have some Valtrex left over from a month's trial before Xmas (when I saw little difference so stopped but maybe I should have continued longer?) Would it help to restart it now or would that be bad for/not affect the pox? Actually, I know my DAN doesn't like treating with anti-virals when chelating but I think US DAN docs are OK with this. Sorry this is not so clear - early am here (UK). Thanks for any advice. (I suppose I could just miss one round of chelation, it's just we had to stop for months with the leg etc I feel we're 6 months behind in her recovery schedule already). Guest guest
I don't know if it will ease your mind or not - but Dr. Darville, Immunologist at Arkansas Children's Hospital said that Valtrex is a very effective yet safe drug for daily use. She is absolutely NOT an autism doctor - she's very much a traditional professional. She also said that our daughter could not have gotten the shingles without first having chicken pox. I told her that our daughter had been vaccinated. She said that she just didn't understand it. To my knowledge, our daughter never had chicken pox - I never noticed any blisters. She just had the vaccine - but she has had two severe cases of shingles. Shari Chelation treatment/Vatrex with chicken pox?
