Ammonia breath and headache/migraine

continues..MRI/CSF

Hi

My daughter 's breath smells like Ammonia. She takes

Aplpha-Ketoglutaric Acid before each meal but this smell has come up in the

past weeks. Does anyone know to what it could be related?

She still has the headache/migraine...CT Scan normal, today we did an EEG

and had an appointment with her neurologist who ordered an MRI and Cerebral

spinal fluid (CSF) collection. She told me we should rule out Pseudotumor -

may be caused by too much Vit A. On the MRI Px she also put R/O APEM (I

believe 3rd letter is E)...anyone knows what that is? I googled it and get

all sorts of things but nothing that matches. If Dr. Mc reads this I would

like her suggestions...or of anyone who knows anything about this.

doesn't sound like it's enough, you need something pancreatic enyzme based.

likely perscritpion strength like secretin, or ultrase MT, or creon

Joyce: She is certainly in my prayers! Ammonia

breath can be from varying causes such as high level

of gut pathogens (in our kids that's the 1st thing I

think of), kidney problems, consuming A-KA, heavy

metals, etc etc - - have periods started yet? Any gut

complaints?

How much vit A has she been getting, and in what form

and how long - ever done the High Dose Protocol on

her? I'm sure I don't have to tell you to stop any

that she may be getting for now - in fact, maybe let

up on many of her nutrients in case anything in them

is triggering the headaches.

Sorry, I couldn't figure out APEM either - why don't

you put in a call to the doctor to find out what that

means? I'm sorry I'm not much help here - please keep

Thanks a lot for responding!

No period yet ( I added Calicium D-Glucarate as per your suggestion). Her

stools look good, no gut complaints...although she has vomited 3 times since

December 30...and she had not vomited in the previous 6 years.

I give her 5 drops of Klaire Micellized A so that's 25000 IU. I had run out

of A plus and have not given it to her for the last month +.

About asking for cultures on her spinal fluid, do you have any suggestions?

Strep, staph, clostridia, and please have them check

for Vit B12 and folate levels - these are very

different in spinal fluid and blood, and can sometimes

be a clue to what is going on. I don't think those

levels of A would be a problem. Dr. JM
