Dr. JM,

Thanks for the info on supplements. One more

questions-

My daughter has severe oral motor apraxia and sensory

issues, so the best for us is to give her supplements

with a little bit of apple sauce. Is that altering

some of them? I give them immediately after mixing.

She hates drinking liquids in general, and has a lot

of adversion to syringe. Thanks for your input.

Kathy

Hi.. fwiw I gave all my sons in soft food like a baby food. I don't

think Dr. JM would recommend apple sauce due to the sugar unless it

was truly last resort. You might try pear sauce (I used to make it

but they have it in baby food and I'd do that if I had to use a

fruit.) We used a veggie and never changed what we put it in.. he

would still eat the food separately too remarkably. I never tried to

disguise the taste.. no way with over 20-30 opened capsules. :)Not

sure what you meant by " alternating some of them " so can't answer

that one. My son had severe sensory issues also btw.

Best of luck!

Soft food is fine as says; however, I would not

use apple sauce as yeast love apples and grapes, so I

ask parents not to use apple or grape products for

their children (or anything with refined sugar in it).

Pears have something in them that yeast does not

like, so I suggest you use pear sauce or diluted pear

juice to give nutrients if possible. Dr. JM
