Guest guest
I would definitely play it safe and get her to a doctor/neurologist ASAP since this has gone on for so long. Once you have ruled out anything more serious than migraines, my suggestion would be to take her to a chiropractor. My 11 year old NT son had migraines for years, especially when he doesn't get enough sleep. Our chiropractor discovered that his occiput (sp?) gets out of whack, which puts pressure on his nerves and blood vessels to his head. She now only needs to adjust him every few months and the migraines stay away. Best of luck, Sue Possible migraine Hi Happy New Year to everyone I am extremely worried becuse my daughter is getting headaches/migraine. They started occasionally but the past week have been daily and since yesterday she has had it all day and night. I had to give her 100 mg Advil so she could get up from bed and still she felt the headache and sleepy and tired. She woke me up at 5am saying it hurts a lot. Her psychiatrist told me it sounded like migraine when I asked him about it 3 weeks ago and told me to give her Riboflavin which she takes anyway as part of her supp plan. Bt now the Riboflavin is not enough. Please let me know what to do, what else to give her...should I take her to the hospital? and which neurological studies I should order so I can ask the pediatrician for the Px. I would like to rule out epilepsy.... Thanks..... -- Joyce M. Guest guest
I’m so glad this thread has come up. My older son who is NT, (but has many of the same health issues as his younger brother) has had increased pain and frequency of his headaches. They were especially bad earlier this week and coincided with a heavy storm front moving into Northern California – I wonder if the barometric pressure may have had some influence. My son’s headaches don’t appear to be migraines as they are not just on one side and he doesn’t seem to have any visual auras or nausea/vomiting with them. But they can be severe. The allergist would like to put him on Singulair and Veramyst (nasal spray) as some of his headaches have been triggered by food/outdoor allergies in the past. His pediatrician thinks they are tension headaches, but would like to rule out the possibility of a tumor by doing a CT Scan on Thursday. I had a message from the Doctor’s office that he needs to fast for 4 hours prior – I think this in case they need to inject him with a dye. I’m concerned about the dye – does anyone have any opinions on the safety of this? I’m glad Sue mentioned the Chiropractor – my son has flat feet and loves to run – maybe I should pursue this too. Joyce – my younger son (HFA) had a sleep study done a couple months ago which included an EEG (to detect seizure activity while he sleeps). I know a neurologist typically orders this, but our allergist did it for us. Good luck! Colleen _____ From: csb-autism-rx [mailto:csb-autism-rx ] On Behalf Of sueswanson@... Guest guest
My son started having what seemed to me are headaches or migraines when we started chelating (it's been 4 months now). He is 3 y.o. and non-verbal. When I put him to bed at night he would take my hand and put it on his head or forehead for me to rub. Lately, he has been putting it on his nape as well and he really likes the pressure. One time it seemed to me that the muscle on the lower part of his head was more tensed or was bigger. He does a lot of vision stimming. His EEG was normal in May. No other scan has been done thereafter. We are yet to do the high dose Vit A and some anti-virals. Our DAN! doc said he must be dumping a lot of heavy metals (yet to get the Urine Toxic test result). What is the appropriate test for brain inflammation? Still so many pieces to put together about my one and only little guy. Sheila **************Start the year off right.
