Guest guest
Ochratoxin A has been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals and is potentially carcinogenic to humans, Group 2B. It has been shown to be weakly mutagenic, possibly by damaging DNA. In animals, it increased the risk of hepatic (liver) tumors and renal (kidney) tumors. Ochratoxin A may also cause immunosuppression in animals. The activity may include depressed antibody responses, reduced size of the immune organs (such as the thymus, spleen, and lymph nodes), changes in immune cell number and function, and altered cytokine production. http://www.emaxhealth.com/1506/75/34775/heinz-recalls-baby-food-canada.html
