looking for the best plan to detox my teenager

It has been awhile since I have written about my 16 1/2 yo son who

went off the 'deep end' - mostly stole food or money to purchase food

and it makes him crazy. He wound up in trouble with the law - and

finally after a 2 year out of home placement - he did come home.

He knew that there would be a gluten free, soy free, low phenol,

limited sugar, few fruit diet. We do do raw milk, testing shows he has

a double gene for gluten sensitivity. His twin is low-medium oxalate

so that is mostly how we eat. Well he was doing well, came home Dec.

1st - lost a bunch of weight and was feeling better about himself.

That was until he decided he needed a 'break' and left. He first

bought a soda - that is enough to put him out of control. And then he

stole 2 bags of hot cheetos and 4 candy bars - that was enough to land

him in the local psych unit. And, of course they do not understand

diet or digestive enzymes and he gets to eat as much as he wants.

So, when he gets home - besides the normal things that I would do, is

there anything else that might help detox him. He will get a sane

diet with digestive enzymes and yeast treatments in between and I will

pump probiotics. Is there anything else I can do? I was thinking BCN

Instamend or I think that Amy Yasko has a glutamate(?) detox supplement.

His psychiatrist does use 'alternative' supplements and he did call me

from California last night (we are in Colorado) - he said that he is

researching some supplement that might reduce the opiate effect of the

food.

I hope this kid gets a clue about this soon! Thank you in advance for

any ideas you might have.
