Guest guest
In fact, I used baking soda as a conditioner for a long time, then when googling for you, I came across http://hair-care.suite101.com/article.cfm/how_to_wash_hair_with_baking_soda_and_\ vinegar Based on the price of ff shampoo, I plan to do this myself and see if I'm satisfied. I have pretty short hair, and the main difference for me would actually be the use of vinegar for a rince, rather than the baking soda. That savings will help. Guest guest
Ella, let us know what you think. I have very dry skin and hair. I wonder if these two products might be too drying. Guest guest
for your dog i think Dr Bronners wonder soap might be good for you. its all natural and has i think peppermint in it, or some other natural mint that could also help destroy yeast( not positive on that but its almost like using eucalyptus). you can find it an GNC i think. You can use it on just about anything and all natural. Guest guest
I wash my hair with baking soda and a small amt of shampoo but just a warning about vinegar. Be sure you have rinsed every single bit of baking soda out of your hair before rinsing with vinegar or they react to each other and you get strawlike looking hair. I did that once. You can rinse your hair with vinegar after regular shampoo, no problem but if its going into hair after baking soda, hair has got to have every bit of baking soda out. > > In fact, I used baking soda as a conditioner for a long time, then when googling for you, I came across > http://hair-care.suite101.com/article.cfm/how_to_wash_hair_with_baking_soda_and_\ vinegar > Based on the price of ff shampoo, I plan to do this myself and see if I'm satisfied. Guest guest
What about tea tree oil or shampoo with tea tree oil in it? I love the new shampoo I use now. Guest guest
If anyone tries the vinegar and baking soda wash, let me know how it turns out. My hair looked fried afterwards but I don't think I had rinsed out all of the baking soda. > > The fluconzole shampoo we found has fragrance in it so we can't use that. > > > > > > Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
I've never (haven't yet) used the vinegar for washing body or hair. Have frequently used baking soda for body and hair. It's a nice skin softener, and I like it to rinse my hair with. I've never tried it for washing hair. I just googled and can't believe I can't find the A & H list that used to be there. Guest guest
Arm & Hammer baking soda used to have a large list of uses for their baking soda at their website. I can't see it now. And there used to be friendly sites with uses. Not so much now, that I can see at a quick glance. Ella > > > > I've never (haven't yet) used the vinegar for washing body or hair.
