You know, I've travelled all over the U.S. on my own, and it never occurred to

me to question the safety. Maybe I should start thinking in those terms!

I haven't heard back from the woman up by you about if she is going to the

caregivers meeting in Aug. But I will send another email if she doesn't answer

a nh.

She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine.

Would anyone else be going from northern Michigan that might want to share a

ride/expenses? We are a one-car family and I'd hate to leave my husband

without transportation while I'm gone...plus he needs to stay home because

we haven't been able to find anyone to house/pet-sit for a dozen parrots, 3

dogs, and a cat .

Just yesterday while we were working in the shop, Pete and I were talking

about how it would probably be easier to find a pet-sitter to pet-sit, and

both of us drive down, than it would be for us to figure out the whole

transportation thing - lol! Being a one-car family enables us to have more

freedom in some ways (financially, for the most part) but less in others!

But he takes on just as much of the day-to-day responsibilities, if not

more, than I do, so it would be a good thing for him also...he's in on the

care conferences, he's the one that runs over to the NH to spend time with

her during the day while I'm doing my phone job, etc...so that's our new

goal - as of just yesterday!

So we're still tossing that idea around...I just need to find someone I

trust with my precious babies! But my goal for the next week is to find

someone (I do actually have someone in mind), and then make our

reservations.

Don't worry about your friend, it will work out I'm sure, but I definitely

thank you for all of your efforts! I didn't realize before yesterday that

Pete would actually be interested, and I'm very happy that he is .

hi all,

 

i want so bad to come and meet everyone but donnie and i just cannot seem to

figure out a way to get the funds for me to go, although a very sweet person

here has offered me to share her room, hugs to you for that, i was hoping to

drive or carpool but with gas at $4.00 a gallon down here, and going up nightly

i am just not sure,  i want so bad to meet everyone, even flights run about

$300-400, but i keep looking for deals just in case, if i get lucky and get a

good deal i will try to jjump on it,  but anyway, maybe next time we can have

one alittle more south and i can come there, damn i wish i didnt sell the RV 

lol  hgs to all and know i am in there in spirits drinking jans 'in spirit'

lemon drops. i will miss meeting everyone and wish i could work this out, hugs,

Maybe you or you and a few others could decide to do a meeting down there. (For

those who don't get to come this far.) Gas is a real problem..

Wish we all lived closer. We will miss you and you will be in our thoughts. I

will try and video tape.

well, maybe during some of the gab sessions some one can put me on speaker phone

and drink an extra sip of a lemon drop for me,  i am still owkring on it, we

just found out that he may be accepted at teh texas school wheich starts every

monday and in 4 weeks you are on road, that may make it possible i dont know
