Guest guest
Thanks, Joyce and le. It's good to know that using one would probably actually help, because they're hardly cheap! And what I think I have to confront is that there lingers a sense in me (constantly reinforced by unknowing nurses, etc.) that because I can walk some days I'm not really entitled to calling myself handicapped. Then there's today, when my feet and ankles are dislocating when I walk and stand, and my ribs are collapsing on each other, and, well, I think EVERY joint has gone out so far! And those days I become militant on the subject. Does it ever balance out? I know, I know it all depends on me...maybe I could start carrying cards explaining EDS? Anyone tried that approach?
