Guest guest
First, my mom called this morning and said that she can't smoke because they make her lean over the lighter when they light her cigarettes, and they'll catch her hair on fire and burn off her eyebrow like they did last week when I was there, did I remember that? No, mom, and I'm pretty sure that's something I wouldn't forget... . So she's not smoking - she says. Talked to (social worker) who said that my mom is having some really bad mornings with delusions although she's not as delusional later in the day. She assured me that, had my mom been caught on fire by the staff, I'd have been notified . I'll be taking her wallet to her later tonight, with expired credit cards, a few $, and an old outdated driver's license in it, since that's her latest obsession - no wallet. And it just gets more interesting... Guest guest
Sherry, Be careful what you take to your Mom. We just had a case of identity theft by an employee (dietitian) at the NH where my Mother was. This employee opened bank accounts and credit cards with the identities of two of the residents that were on the same floor with my Mother. The expired drivers license might have enough information to use for identity theft. It was so weird watching the news about the sentencing of this women to 38 years for 14 counts of identity theft and realizing that I knew the person. It wasn't until they mentioned that she had worked in a NH that I realize where I knew her. Fortunately the employee didn't steal my Mother's identity, but we didn't have any of her personal papers or cards at the NH. in Dallas > > First, my mom called this morning and said that she can't smoke because they > make her lean over the lighter when they light her cigarettes, and they'll > catch her hair on fire and burn off her eyebrow like they did last week when > I was there, did I remember that?
