Guest guest
I hate to complain to the folks around me but I know you all will understand. I just moved and for months leading up to the move and in the 3 weeks since I've been bending, lifting, packing, and upacking. My feet are completely numb. My right index finger and thumb are densly numb (typing is a challenge, writing almost impossible) after spray painting 2 book cases. I'm having shooting pains down my arms and legs. I know this will abate and get back to my usual state in time -- seems to take longer now days. My experience has been that once I bring on these situations, by the time I decide I really need to see the doctor, get an appointment and go, it's resolving. So there is no real solution here, just wanted to vent a little. I should say that upon reflection, I'm very lucky to be able to do all of these things that are so bad for me -- I realize it's not the case with everyone with CMT. Funny thing: I climbed a ladder to hang a wind chime and my 12 year old son saw me and " ordered " me down. He was so worried I'd kill myself by losing my balance up there or not being able to feel the rungs on the way down with my feet. I told him he has to wait til I'm 90 to order me not to do physical things! Thanks for listening, Holli in Tarzana
