Guest guest
OMG! What the heck is Hospice thinking. They have no experience with LBD. Lorazepam is Ativan one of the worst and on the bad list of meds for LBD. It has an adverse reaction on many. Very few can tolerate it with LBD. Carol King warned everyone of Hospice and HAM= Haldol, Ativan, Morphine all meds that Hospice gives. Go back to the Alprazolam, Xanax, if it worked for her and stand strong and demand it. Carol King had another pain medication other than Morphine that she demanded for her Mother-in-law, sorry I can't remember the name of it. Jan Lorazepam vs. alprazolam For the last 3 yrs we have had success with alprazolam. Now that she is on Hospice, they gave me Lorazepam as well. We just got the Lorazepam on Friday. Friday night was BEYOND HELL!!! I got kicked in the head 4 times and scratched, gouged, bite, my hair yanked out at the roots. Saturday was bad. Sunday and Monday I used alprazolam only... and they were decent days. Today i used the Lorazepam, and it's getting ugly again. Me thinks the Lorazepam is adding to our problems. Any other experiences from you all? ------------------------------------ Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
