Guest guest
Good Morning, it is a wonderful day & I'm in a great mood. We just had our weigh-in for the first week's total. I WON! My boss, Norm, gave me a run for my money though. He lost 8 pounds, but I lost 10. I can't even beleive it. 10 pounds in a week is huge. That's $10 for me, if everyone will pay up their dollar. We started with 13 people, but 2 dropped out. One is out of town this week. Of the rest, we had losses ranging from 1 to 10, most around 2 to 4 pounds. If I can keep it up, next week I will no longer be " obese. " I hate that word. I never thought I could do it, but I think " low-impact exercize, " is the key. Add 12 cups of water a day, eating good foods, and stop eating when I'm no longer hungry (rather than stuffed) - a recipie that works for me. The massages I've been getting can't hurt either. The best part is, no flare-ups yet. The doctor always says that exercize will help improve fibro. Boy is he right. Before starting, I couldn't drag out of bed on the weekends, and had to force myself to do so for work. I'm not 100% by any means, but this is really helping me. I'm still counting the minutes as I exercize & it is hard to make it the full time, but I'm doing it. Sorry this is so long, I'm just so excited. I would hope that any of you that can exercize, even just a walk down the street, would start. It helps soooooo much. I almost feel guilty telling you all this, because I know how it feels to not be able to do anything. I know I will still have fibro for the rest of my life, but if we can just manage it, we will all get along fine. Best wishes to you all, Cheryl
