Guest guest
I only wish I could do some of these things listed. Unable to do any leg exercise on equipment. Can barely lift leg on its own, yet alone support any weight. My upper body is fair with the shoulders having extreme weakness. I think for those of us that are unable to do the things listed, a physical therapist is the best bet and being in the pool is the safest way to exercise. A PT will work with you on the stretching and then give you exercises that you can do simply with a ball or no equipment at all. Just yesterday, my PT said she can see a little muscle mass around my quads and this has been accomplished with very simple and safe exercises. Unless you find a personal trainer that is fully aware of what CMT neuromuscular disease and peripheral neuropathy is, be careful.
