Sounds like we have had similar issues with having CMT.I

know this group has been a great tool for me for many reasons.I find that after

reading a post such as yours I do not feel so different any more.diagnoses was a

good thing.I know now why my body could not keep up with my mind its the CMT!I

wish I knew as a kid.I am learning to make changes in just about everything I do

but guess what..Im still doing them. " Im 39 now and had a onset at about 34 and

again 6 months ago.Look at the man behind the curtain...My spirit does not have

CMT.

Welcome to the group!  Thank you for introducing yourself and sharing your

story.

 

I'm 46 yrs and was diagnosed with CMT 1A just a few years ago.  Finally getting

the diagnosis, after years of misdiagnosis and mistreatment, was a huge relief

for me and answered so many questions, as it did for you.

 

This group is an excellent resourse.  If you need some sort of Ankle-Foot

Orthosis (AFO), there are many here who have a great deal of knowledge and

experience with them.  There are also archives for the site, of previous posts,

where you could find a lot of info about AFOs too.
