Guest guest
Biomin, The Standard For Mycotoxin Risk Management http://www.prlog.org/10275099-biomin-the-standard-for-mycotoxin-risk-management.\ html Biomin has introduced Mycofix 3.0, a research-oriented breakthrough product that can effectively ensure the control of 100% risk posed by mycotoxins by deactivating all the mycotoxins prevalent in poultry sector. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 06, 2009 – BIOMIN, a leading global company focusing on health in animal nutrition, announced the new industry standard in counteracting mycotoxins with the proven and complete Mycotoxin Risk Management strategy and solutions. Biomin has introduced Mycofix 3.0, a research-oriented breakthrough product that can effectively ensure the control of 100% risk posed by mycotoxins by deactivating all the mycotoxins prevalent in poultry sector. These toxins need to be eliminated to avoid the loss caused by them among broilers since they cause enormous production loss by creating high mortality in broilers. These toxins also affect the efficiency of breeders by decreasing the egg hatchability. These toxins can affect diary, swine and aquaculture sectors as well. The mycotoxins can also be passed through the animal products like milk to humans and are dangerous to public health as well as damages the liver and reduces immunity. Mycofix completely eliminates the mycotoxin contamination in the feed. Mr. Nichol, Regional Director, Asia, said, " The other mycotoxin control programs available in the market are only " mycotoxin binders " , which will bind some toxins. But toxins like Ochratoxin A, Tricothecenes, Citrinin, Deoxynevalenol, Zearalenone can only be deactivated and can never be bound. But it has been wrongly understood that all the toxins can be bound, which is basically wrong proven by research results by various renowned scientists, which laid out the platform for BIOMIN to develop the mycotoxin deactivators. BIOMIN is at present working with the 4th generation mycotoxin deactivators, which could be launched shortly. " BIOMIN will be showcasing the product at ILDEX India 2009 – an International Livestock & Dairy Expo in New Delhi from 2-4 July 2009. The India poultry industry, at an estimated production of 2.3 million tonnes of poultry meat and 47 billion eggs, consumes close to 15 million tonnes of feed, and is a sizable market where every bird counts. Birds that are exposed to mycotoxins suffer from many mistakenly diagnosed symptoms that ultimately affect performance. Clinical mycotoxicoses leads to inflammatory symptoms that can progress to blistering and skin necrosis often followed by sloughing of the epidermal layer. Nasal areas and oral cavities are painfully inflamed affecting the bird's ability to eat, leading to reduced feed intake and increased mortalities. Mycotoxins are found in all cereal/grains such as corn, soya, sorghum, barely, wheat, rice meal, cottonseed meal, and ground nuts. The current high feed cost and lower production values in India threaten the poultry industry with farmers and integrators facing continued pressure on their balance sheet. Dr. Ravindran KN COO, said, " The tendency to go for more economical feed ingredients may be an alluring option, yet caution on quality control and mycotoxin preventive measures must be exercised. Mycotoxins, among other things, will affect producers' bottom line whether it is an acute outbreak or subtle changes in production parameters. " # # # BIOMIN, a leading company focusing on Health in Animal Nutrition, develops and produces specialty feed additives and services to improve animal health and performance, in a natural and economically viable way. Guest guest
It is very strange there is information on mycotoxins in food chain and in studies of animal disease and not humans. I found a lot of that kind of info while looking. Dragonfly ... Breaks illusions, Brings visions of power, No need to prove it, Now is the hour! Know it, believe it, Great Spirit intercedes, Feeding you, blessing you, Filling all your needs. Guest guest
--- I know this pertains to animals but it states that " toxins such as tricothecene cannot be bound " . If that is the case, how would CSM be successful for someone with mycotoxicosis caused by tricothecene?? Anyone??
