Guest guest
I bought this car filter after Dr. Gray recommended that we get one for our car, but I have not used it for any long distance drives, it sits on the floor and plugs into the cigarette lighter. Also, our other doctor recommends the E L Foust filters for the home as they are independently tested while some other manufacturers do not independently test. sue >Has anybody tried using an Auto Air Purifier? Guest guest
Hi Brain I haven't used one but I can tell about them, I sleep with two types. Most microorganisms are under 3 micron in size, so filtration media is not an option unless you want to do particle capture. One most consider enviroment, chemical, biological and size of contaminants. Depending on the application and what we want to do would be the filtration media. It can be combined with activated carbon (amount must be according to application), filter (prefilter and/or HEPA) and UV, but with the proper intensity, dwell time etc, because mold is destroyed with certain irradiation intensities. Right now I consider that there is no air sterilizer that is proper for cars. So I decided to purchase an inverter for my portable UV System. I have had this UV sterilizer for almost 3 years with a dual zone UV-C and UV-V that destroys both microorganisms and chemical emissions like carbon monoxide. I probably can help you or anyone that might need assitance. Abraham > > Has anybody tried using an Auto Air Purifier? Guest guest
Hi , I finally got my computer back. Will post later, have to let it air out outside for a bit. I use a car air purifier by amaricare. It is pretty good. Has carbon filter as well as a hepa. There are 2 kinds of carbon filters for it. I have the one that sits on the seat. You can also get the extra parts for it to be used in a room and to secure it to a seat belt. http://www.allergybuyersclubshopping.com/amaircare-air-purifiers.html   Dragonfly ... Guest guest
I have one. For me, I think it is ok. Wouldn't say great. There are still some fumes that come in from outside in heavy traffic that seem to bother me. It is also a bit expensive to replace the filter as that is the bulk of the unit. There are different combinations of filter media that you can use and ask for depending on what you need protection from and what you might react to media-wise. I used to use it in hotels and that seemed to for some reason work better for me that in the car. Now I just use our austin air instead in a hotel or wherever we are staying when we travel.
