Guest guest
Hello Fellow list members, This is a periodic friendly reminder of the purpose of this list -- which is about the politics of " autism " . You may post items that are not related to this focus, but we ask that you mark such posts as " OT " in the subject line. This is a courtesy for list members who may not be interested in off-topic matters. Keep in mind that this list often has over a hundred of posts per day and this allows for easier navigation through the volume. We have over 2200 members now, and average just about as many posts per month. Here is the list description from the home page: " This is the Environment of Harm discussion list focusing on vaccine damage and mercury poisoning as it relates to autism. Of keen interest to participants are the issues of government public health negligence and corruption and the various political efforts by parents to end the spectrum of epidemics that is being revealed as mercury poisoning, especially autism. " What is off topic are postings about autism family members. Discussions about medical treatments, or individual care givers for autism in general is off topic -- unless there is a clear political tie-in to the list purpose. Breaking news items about things that have nothing to do with autism and politics, no matter how stirring, are off topic. There are a few specific restrictions about posting to this list, too. Here they are from the home page: " Crossposting (broadcasted posts to multiple lists), political action alerts, fund raising solicitations and petition circulations must be approved by the list host in advance of posting. " We don't like crossposting for the same reason we don't like mass vaccinations: one size does not fit all. Few other discussion groups fit the focus of this list. For example, a story about an anthrax vaccine used in Tonga may have limited relevance to this list. This list is not about building a case against vaccines. To reiterate, it is OK to make off-topic postings, but we ask that you mark such posts as " OT " in the subject line as a courtesy to fellow list members. Thank you, Lenny Schafer EOHarm list host
